Overview

JumboPress is a custom WordPress system for Tufts University managed by the Digital Services team within the Office of Communications and Marketing. The JumboPress base theme has been customized to be compliant with the Tufts brand and web standard, designed to be modern and made responsive by using the Page Builder tool. 

The Benefits of JumboPress

  • Turn-key. New sites can be set up and launched in 4 to 6 weeks depending on the size, complexity of the site and the amount of content ready for use.
  • Brand compliance. The JumboPress theme has been designed to match the Tufts web brand and will be updated regularly so any site visitors will experience a consistent visual identity from the Tufts homepage to your site.
  • Regular Maintenance. JumboPress will be regularly maintained by the Digital Services team on a two month rotation to ensure your site is secure and working efficiently.
  • New features made available to system. Along with regular security updates, the maintenance cycle will include new features or functionality to all JumboPress sites as they become available.

Services Provided to JumboPress Clients

  • Training. Scheduled every two week. You can request an in-training session or use the self-serve training manual.
  • Manual & Resources. The JumboPress Manual includes step by steps instructions for all available features in the theme, as well as, videos for better understanding. There is also additional resources on third-party integrations and web best practices.
  • Support. Every JumboPress client will receive 12 hours per year. When submitting a support request clients will receive a response and time estimate for completion within 3 business days.
  • Maintenance. This will occur on a two month rotation. JumboPress clients will receive notification of maintenance 3 days in advance.
  • Disaster Recovery. JumboPress Support does not provide 24/7 site monitoring, any outages or major bug fixes will be performed as soon as possible usually within 1 business day.
