Social Media

JumboPress can display three types of social media feeds: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It can also render videos hosted on Vimeo or YouTube.

Facebook

JumboPress uses Smash Balloon Custom Facebook Feed plugin to embed a Facebook feed of your page or group page.

Insert Facebook Feed

1. In the vertical bar on the dashboard click on ‘Facebook Feed’.
2. Add in the information such as your Facebook Page ID and set your settings.
3. Click ‘Save Changes’
4. Under ‘Displaying your Feed’ is a short code. Copy and paste this Shortcode onto your page or sidebar to display your Facebook feed.

Twitter

Embed Single Tweet into JumboPress Page/Post

To embed a single Tweet into a JumboPress page or post, simply copy and paste URL into body of the page or post. Make sure the URL is on a line of its own and is not hyperlinked.

Insert Twitter Feeds

JumboPress uses Smash Balloon Custom Twitter Feeds plugin to embed Twitter feeds on your site.

1. In the vertical bar on the dashboard click on ‘Twitter Feeds’.
2. Configure your Twitter feed by clicking on the blue button
   1. You will be asked to authorize that the Smash Balloon plugin (the plugin that allows you to have a Twitter feed) can read your Tweets.
3. Click ‘Save Changes’
4. Select ‘Home Timeline’ to display your Twitter feed, or select ‘Mentions Timeline’ which will display only Tweets that mention you. You can also add a user screenname, a specific hashtag or multiple hashtags, etc.
5. Under ‘Displaying your Feed’ is a Shortcode. Copy and paste this Shortcode onto your page or sidebar to display your Twitter feed.
6. Click ‘Save Changes’

Instagram

JumboPress uses Smash Balloon Custom Instagram Feed plugin to embed Twitter feeds on your site.

Insert Instagram Feed

1. In the vertical bar on the dashboard click on ‘Instagram Feed’.
2. Configure your Instagram feed by clicking on the blue button
3. Add in the information such as your User ID, a specific Hashtag.
   1. You can multiple User IDs or Hashtag settings for your feed, separate each one with a coma.
4. Under ‘Displaying your Feed’ is a short code. Copy and paste this Shortcode onto your page or sidebar to display your Instagram feed.

Social Media Links in the Footer

By default the social media links in the JumboPress footer go to the Tufts University main social media accounts. To change these please contact JumboPress Support with the links of up to four approved social media accounts.

Vimeo & YouTube

Videos must be hosted outside of JumboPress. You can use video hosting sites such as YouTube or Vimeo. Once the video is hosted somewhere you can easily copy and paste the URL of the video to your page and JumboPress will render the video.

Add a Video using Embed Code

If you would like a specific size or position for the video, or have an embed code, please contact JumboPress Support with the video URL or embed code and the page and location where you would like the video to appear.

The JumboPress Support team will create a Smart Block with the video, then use the Smart Block Shortcode to insert the video on a page or sidebar. Please refer to the Smart Block section for details on how to insert a Smart Block.
