A Widget is a specialized area that adds content and features to your page through the Page Builder tool or custom  sidebars; such as: plain text, buttons, slideshows, Google maps, etc. Below is a full list of Widgets available and brief description.

Note: All available Widgets are listed, with a brief description, under Appearances → ‘Widgets’.

The following are the available widgets that can be used in Appearance → Widgets to create or modify Sidebars, like Home Page Left and Home Page Right, as well as, in the Page Builder Tool when creating or updating pages and/or posts.

Widget Description
Archives A monthly archive of your site’s posts.

Used in News page sidebar, by default.

Blog Grid A list of blog posts displayed in a grid that shows the title, a short excerpt and a thumbnail view of the featured image. The list is built by creating a query that calls one or more posts categories and declaring a limit of posts to appear on the list and the time range.
Blog List A list of blog posts that shows the title, date, a short excerpt and a thumbnail view of the featured image. The list is built by creating a query that calls one or more posts categories and declaring a limit of posts to appear on the list and the time range.
Categories A list or dropdown of post Categories.

Used in News page sidebar, by default.

Custom HTML Arbitrary HTML code.
Custom Twitter Feeds Display Twitter feed. Must have Custom Twitter Feed plugin activated and set-up.
Form Gravity forms widget.  It can be added to your page or post using Page Builder, or to sidebars.
Layout Builder Gravity forms widget. It can be added to your Page or Post using the Page Builder Tool, or to sidebars.
RSS Adds a RSS feed to page or sidebar from the provided URL.
Simple Calendar Displays a list or calendar of events from one or more Google Calendar feeds you have added.  It can be added to your Page or Post using the Page Builder Tool, or to sidebars.
Does not work with Trumba
SiteOrigin Button Creates a button on your page or post when using Page Builder, or your sidebars.
SiteOrigin Call-to-Action Creates a block of text with white text over a dark grey background with a button on the bottom. This can be used for announcements, or important information you wish to stand out. It can be added to your page or post using Page Builder, or to sidebars.
SiteOrigin Editor This can add a WYSIWYG widget to your page or post using Page Builder or to sidebars. Use this widget to add both text and images to your Page or Post.
SiteOrigin Google Maps Adds a Google Map to your page or post. You can specify the location and zoom of your map.  It can be added to your page or post using Page Builder, or to sidebars.
SiteOrigin Headline Creates a block of text with a light grey background. This can be used for announcements, or information you wish to highlight.  It can be added to your page or post using Page Builder, or to sidebars.
SiteOrigin Slider Creates an image slider that can automatically rotate a group of images.  It can be added to your page or post using Page Builder, or to sidebars.
Slider This is the widget that controls the slider on the homepage. It can be assigned a category of posts that will cycle through seven posts. On the left it has an image and on the right text with a ‘Read More’ link.
Spacer A widget that adds empty space. This is useful for formatting pages by adding separation.  It can be added to your page or post using Page Builder, or to sidebars.
Tabs Creates tabs to your page or post using Page Builder or to sidebars. Each tab can had a title, which appears on the tab, and content in the form of text and/or images, that appears when the user clicks on the tab.
Team This widget allows to showcase profile images and link to email or other pages. Good for staff or faculty pages. **If creating a staff page use the ‘Team’ Template from the Template dropdown in the Page Attributes block while editing a page.
Toggle This adds an accordion. It is a field of text with a + sign on the right, that when pressed expands to show content. This is perfect for FAQs.  This can be added your FAQ Page or using Page Builder.
Visual Editor Similar to SiteOrigin Editor, this widget allows you to add text with a WYSISYG.
